Gabbie Syed is a Campaign Associate at J&Z Strategies.
At the firm, Gabbie works on local, state and federal races for candidate, independent expenditure and ballot measure campaigns, as well as issue advocacy efforts. Her portfolio spans from creative development for digital, paid media, social media, and direct mail to strategic communications, public relations and political outreach.
Gabbie came to J&Z Strategies after serving as an Account Assistant at Wildfire Contact, a national Democratic political consulting firm. While there she worked on national independent expenditure campaigns in a variety of states for clients such as End Citizens United and Everytown for Gun Safety.
Prior to her role at Wildfire Contact, Gabbie worked on the Elizabeth Warren for President campaign in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she conducted direct voter outreach and oversaw volunteer trainings. Prior to the 2020 election, in Washington, D.C., Gabbie interned for Kantar Media’s Campaign Media Analysis Group where she was tasked with monitoring and logging TV and digital advertisements to aid in the 2018 election cycle. On the legislative side, she worked at The Sheridan Group and conducted research on a wide range of policy issues such as healthcare, education, and equity for current and prospective clients.
Before moving to D.C., Gabbie served as a lead intern for her local congressman, Rep. Eric Swalwell, in the Bay Area of California, where she grew up. There, she conducted trainings in donor research along with event etiquette relevant to fundraising efforts.
Gabbie received a BA in Public Relations & Strategic Communications with a minor in Political Science from American University.
